You can change your Account Password at any time, like when you want to make it stronger or if it was used for another account.

The password you use to unlock mSecure is called your account password. If you know your account password, you can change it at any time. Additionally, all mSecure backups are encrypted with the account password in use at the time of the backup’s creation. In order to restore from a backup file, you will need to know the password that was used to encrypt it.

Please note that only mSecure 5 uses an online account system, so when you change the password in one app, the password is changed in the app on all of your devices. All previous versions of mSecure do not have an online account system, so if you changed your password in one app, you would also need to change it on your other devices, because the apps were not linked to the same account online.

However, if mSecure was not already unlocked, you will have to unlock it using your OLD account password, because the data currently stored in the app is decrypted with that old password.
