Mac


You will want to make sure that the previous version of mSecure is still installed on your system or that the previous database file is still in its default location.


When you first download mSecure 5 on your computer, open mSecure 5 and either sign in to your mSecure account or create a new mSecure account in the app. After signing in or signing up, mSecure 5 will ask you if you would like to migrate your previous mSecure information.


Note: your purchase of one of our mSecure 5 licenses is tied to the mSecure account you used to purchase the license with.





You will have the option to use the mSecure Cloud after the account authentication screen. If you skip the migration process, you can restore from a *.msim file at any point afterwards. (Open and login to mSecure 5 > File > Restore)







Windows


You will need to have access to an mSecure backup file *.msim or a sync file, mSecureSync.mscc, in order to migrate your mSecure information. mSecure automatically creates backups in the Backup folder within mSecure. (C:\User\YourUserName\Documents\mSecure\Backup). You can also create a backup file by opening and logging to mSecure 3 -> File -> Backup.

How to create an email backup of mSecure 4.





Android

You will have to go into the Settings > mSecure Cloud and disable cloud syncing there if you do not want to use the cloud syncing feature.
