mSecure settings state that my Mac does not support Touch ID

This is a long recurring problem that has never been permanently solved via mSecure support.

My computer (Mac mini,OS Tahoe 26.5) has Touch ID for apps AND Apple Watch for apps able to open applications. See attached screen shot.

The only way I can open mSecure is to copy and paste the password, which I keep in Apple Notes (not secured).  Then I have to copy and paste the email and password from mSecure to the app or browser window I want to open or log into.

I'm pretty sure this is not how mSecure is supposed to work!

Would love to find a solution for this before I jump ship to One Password.

Hi Caroline,

Thank you for contacting us. Let's first have you try and enable the Biometric Unlock feature on your Mac in the mSecure settings. Please follow the steps below on your Mac:

  1. Open mSecure on your Mac.
  2. Click mSecure in the menu bar.
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Navigate to Security and check Unlock with Touch ID.
  5. Enter your mSecure password and click OK.
  6. Close the Preferences window and mSecure app.
  7. Re-open mSecure and use Touch ID to log in.

Did this work for you? If not, please let me know and I will guide you further.
