WiFi Syncing Issues - Windows Specific

Most WiFi sync issues on Windows are caused by network profile settings. Your network must be set to "Private" for syncing to work properly. Follow the steps below to check and update your network profile settings.

For a Wired Connection (Ethernet)

  1. Click the notifications icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
  2. Select "All Settings."
  3. Go to "Network & Internet."
  4. Click "Ethernet."
  5. Select "Network"  (or the network name matching your main mSecure computer).
  6. Enable "Make the PC discoverable."

For a Wireless Connection (WiFi)
  1. Click the Internet Access icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
  2. Click "Properties" for the WiFi network you're connected to.
  3. Under "Network profile," switch the setting to "Private."

Important

  • Do not set your network to Private if you're on a public WiFi connection.
  • WiFi syncing should not be used over public WiFi.
