Can I login from my PC using the built-in fingerprint reader?
Hi Mark,
Thank you for contacting us. If Windows Hello allows you to use your Fingerprint as apart of the biometric unlock, then you will be able to. You will first need to go into your Windows Hello settings inside your PC settings. Once you have fingerprint unlock set up on your device, you will then be able to use this feature as apart of your biometric unlock for your PC in mSecure. Please follow the steps below in mSecure to enable this:
- Open and unlock mSecure
- Click the Settings icon
- Click Security
- Enable the "Use Windows Hello to secure your data" toggle
- Authenticate the Windows Security dialogue that will pop up
Once enabled, this feature will allow you to unlock mSecure via any of the Windows Sign-in options you have enabled on your computer. You can also always disable this feature whenever you'd like.

Hello,
I love mSecure and have been using it for about 13-14 years, synced across multiple devices. You've made a really fantastic product, which I use daily, mostly from my Android device using the biometric reader. I don't have any complaints; just want to ask about a login option when using my PC.
I'm running Windows 11, and I have a newer Lenovo machine with a built-in fingerprint reader. I use fingerprint reader for quick login to my PC.
Is there an option for me to use the same fingerprint reader for logging into mSecure from my PC?
