Troubleshooting Mac App Store Download Issues

Occasionally, customers encounter error messages when downloading mSecure from the Mac App Store, such as:

  • mSecure app is damaged and can't be opened. Delete mSecure and download it again from the App Store.
  • mSecure - Password Manager failed to download.
  • This application can't be verified.

Since the Mac App Store is managed entirely by Apple, we are unable to directly resolve these issues. However, the following steps often help resolve download problems.

Steps to Fix Download Issues

1. Delete the app via Launchpad

  • Open Launchpad.
  • Click and hold on the mSecure icon until a black "X" appears.
  • Click the "X" to delete the app. (Deleting through Launchpad is often more effective than dragging it to the Trash).
  • Skip this step if the app is not installed.

2. Sign out of the Mac App Store (In the menu bar, go to Store > Sign Out).

3. Restart Your Mac.

4. Sign back into the Mac App Store.

  • Go to Store > Sign In.
  • Search for mSecure and click Install to reinstall the app.

Alternative Fix: Create a Temporary Admin Account

If the issue persists, try:

  1. Creating a new administrator account on your Mac.
  2. Logging into the new admin account and installing mSecure.
  3. Switching back to your primary account to use the app.
  4. Deleting the temporary admin account once the issue is resolved.
